A volunteer is a person who undertakes tasks of their own free will, without monetary reward while providing a service to the community.

Volunteering provides people with strong social and community networks, building the capacity and resilience of our communities. It is a great way to meet new people and make new friends, gain valuable work experience and have fun, all while making a positive impact in the community. Volunteers add richness to the community as a whole!

CPN Volunteers play an important role in helping the CPN meet the needs of the vulnerable and transport disadvantaged in the community.

CPN Volunteer Drivers

Volunteer Drivers are the backbone of the Community Passenger Network. They support peoples independence by providing transport assistance, enabling them to reach their destination. Our volunteer drivers deliver a high quality, respectful and courteous door to door transport service.

All our CPN volunteer drivers are accredited drivers through the Volunteer Driver Accreditation Program (VDAP), controlled by the Department of Planning Transport & Infrastructure. The program uses mandatory driver accreditation procedures (DCSI Screening, Medical Certificate, Driver Assessment and Induction) to ensure the safety for our volunteers, clients and the CPN.
